Recipe for Airborne Honey Slice

Today we made Airborne Honey Slice.  This is the recipe if you want to try it. We made it in the frying pan and it set much faster:

Try this great kids' recipe: Airborne Honey Bubble Slice

125g butter
2-3 Tbsp honey
125g brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
4 cups rice bubbles

Melt all the liquid ingredients in the microwave and pour over the rice
bubbles.

Mix and spread onto a flat tray, making the slice as thick as you want.

Refrigerate for 4 hours.

Cut into squares and store in the fridge if you like them chewy, or out of the fridge if you like them soft.
You can add 1/2 cup of cocoa powder for a chocolate version.

School Reports

These went out on Friday. I will be a Year 2 teacher next year so it is possible that I may have some children remaining in my class for next year. Parent interviews are on Monday and Tuesday for anyone wishing to discuss reports.

Congratulations Thomas for working hard!

Arahoe's Got Talent and so has Room 23

Unfortunately I got it completely wrong and the finals were actually held on Friday 6 December. Although Room 23 did not have any contestants we had a successful syndicate Assembly, as 4 of our children won prizes in the Glovers Real Estate colouring competition. They were Mila, Olive, Eric and Trixie. Congratulations to us and Woop! Woop! And then, we were chosen as the best class for syndicate Jump Jam.
Arahoe's Got Talent junior prize winner was Lily Wood of Room 15 with a song, Middles prize winner was Leah Williams with a dance and Tia won the senior prize with a song.
